#020 Thinking about the feet of the winter camp

Is the world unprecedented? Next camping boom!

The trigger was Mr. Hiroshi's YouTube. It became a hot topic in the blink of an eye, and the trend of avoiding the three Cs due to the corona crisis became a decisive blow, and the world is experiencing an unprecedented camping boom.
Having said that, I also buy camping equipment that my son bought when he was little, along with gear that is suitable for solo camping, which is currently in vogue, and enjoys camping alone from time to time.
I only go camping in the fall/early spring. Because insect repellent is troublesome in spring and summer. Also, since we are camping to enjoy bonfires and wood stoves, there is also the fact that we can only enjoy it when it is chilly.
So, I would like to think about the feet that are suitable for camping this time of year.

Choose your campsite based on nighttime toilet standards

What do you think about the shoes you wear at the campsite?
Summer is easy. All you have to do is wear flip flops or crocs. However, this is not the case when the nights get cold. You yearn for outdoor boots such as Danner and Whites that look great on Instagram, and Caribou boots from Sorel that look warm.

But everyone. Am I missing one important fact? that's right. A toilet in the middle of the night.

If you've ever been camping, you know that people who like alcohol tend to drink more than usual at dinnertime. Even at night, I go to bed earlier than when I'm at home. No matter how high-performance sleeping bags these days are, they are far from the bed at home. It's cold after all.
Then, of course, in the middle of the night, you will feel the urge to urinate and stand on the toilet. Not just once, but twice and three times. It's so cold that I don't want to get out of the tent as much as possible.
What if you had to wear lace-up boots in a dark tent? Could it be a disaster?

After all, the feet at the campsite are easy to put on and take off. If possible, wouldn't it be best to wear shoes that you can wear even when stepping on your heels? And if the inside is lined with wool or fleece to keep you warm, that's fine.

sundance winter boots

Therefore, I would like to introduce the winter boots that I planned to spend comfortably at the winter campsite. Even though they are boots, they are short enough to cover the ankles, and the fleece lining makes them slip-on and can be worn with the heel. In addition, the upper material has been treated to be water repellent, so it won't soak in light rain or snow. Is there a shoe that can reach such an itchy place?

This winter, please spend comfortable days in Sundance winter boots, not only for camping but also for everyday use.
